the hero of a mythic quest! Since 1995, Renaissance Adventures has
offered summer quests, birthday parties, after-school events, and
holiday programs in Adventure Quest. Solve mysteries and riddles,
explore mythic lands, brainstorm creative solutions to puzzling
dilemmas, meet interesting characters and monsters, swashbuckle with
foes using our safe, foam swords, and negotiate peace treaties.
Adventure Quest is an exciting, outdoor activity for kids age 6-16 in
Boulder County and throughout the Front Range. Our programs teach
team-building skills and fair play in an inspiring journey of creative
expression and responsible empowerment. July 12-15.

boys and girls, ages 4 1/2-15. AO Camps is entering its ninth summer of
serving Boulder families, and focuses on authentic, nature-based
experiences for children. Campers hike, climb, sing camp songs, make
crafts, learn about the environment, fish and much more! AO’s Junior
Program (ages 4 1/2-6) is based in town and spends each day outside in
some of Boulder’s best natural spaces. The Eldorado Canyon program is
for ages 7-11, and the Intro to Backpacking program is a combination day
camp/backpack trip for ages 11-15. AO Sleep Away Camp is a one- or
two-week resident camp in the mountains. AO is accredited by the
American Camp Association and licensed by the State of Colorado. They
create opportunities for campers of all socioeconomic levels through
donations to their Campership fund.

learn what it takes to be a great leader while exploring our 1,200-acre
backyard nestled in the foothills in Jamestown. With 30 years’
experience teaching kids outdoors, it’s an adventure you don’t want to
miss. Activities: horseback riding, high ropes, archery, fly-fishing,
teaching and group management skills and even an overnight backpack

Cal-Wood Summer Camp: Ages 9-12. Week-long camp for kids to explore our
1,200 acres near Jamestown. Activities: horseback riding, high ropes,
outdoor skills, team games, arts and crafts, and even an overnight

Cal-Wood’s Ultimate Nature Experience (T.U.N.E) Summer Camp: Ages 10-15.
Three-day overnight outdoor skills camp presented in partnership with
Pheasants Forever. Activities: shooting sports, falconry, dog training,
fly-fishing, archery, wetland and forest ecology, survival skills, low
ropes, careers in conservation and much more (all activities are taught
by professional staff and volunteers). Campers stay in cabins. July

traditional overnight camp for kids ages 7-17. Campers live in cabins
with two counselors and six to nine other children of their own gender
and age. Each cabin is under the direct leadership of a college-aged
counselor. Counselors receive extensive training at camp prior to the
campers’ arrival. Staff-to-camper ratio is one-to-five or lower. For
nearly a century, Camp Chief Ouray (CCO) has been the adventurous
playground for boys and girls from around the world. Located on 5,100
acres of mountains, valleys, streams and meadows — boredom is simply not
an option.
