We learn to walk on stilts, develop circus skills, outdoor skills, use tools and repurpose materials to build public art installations. Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice offers a weekend camp and a day camp for grieving children ages 6-12 to explore their feelings and share memories of their loved ones. Children learn ways to cope with their grief through workshops led by licensed social workers. A “buddy” system ensures that children receive plenty of personal attention. While children are encouraged to share memories and express their grief, Camp Comfort offers fun, too! The weekend camp includes opportunities for recreation including swimming, ziplining, arts and crafts, fishing and hiking. The day camp includes similar activities including swimming, arts and crafts and other fun camp activities. There is no cost to attend Camp Comfort!
