Steamboat kicked off its 2009-10 ski season today with two
lifts accessing 12 trails. The mountain opens with a 16-inch base.
More terrain is expected to open Friday.
Steamboat has had 400 inches of snow or more the past two
season. The resort is also hosting the U.S. Olympic Trials from Dec. 23-24.
