A sewer maintenance project that city officials anticipate will take approximately three months began on Feb. 1 in downtown Erie.
Operations will consist of cleaning and videotaping sanitary sewer lines, repairing small segments of sanitary sewer lines, installation of manholes and installation of new cured-in-place sewer lines.
For resident safety, the Town of Erie requests that pedestrians and bicyclists stay clear of work zones. Sanitary service will be disrupted periodically, though residences and/or businesses will be notified a minimum of 72 hours prior to such disruption.
