The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing arguments on Prop 8, California’s ban on gay marriage, today.
It appears unlikely that the court will uphold the ban, ruling either that the parties trying to defend the law don’t have the legal standing to do so or that the ban is unconstitutional.
Either ruling, it appears, would be enough to overturn Prop 8 and restore same-sex marriage to California.
