The US Environmental Protection Agency today unveiled a new website that identifies most of the nation’s biggest emitters of carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases.
The agency was compelled by law to collect and distribute this data to
the public. And it’s not just a starting point for a science fair
project. David Doniger at the Natural Resources Defense Council says
that “armed with this right-to-know information, people can demand to
know what company executives or elected officials are going to do to
curb this pollution.”
