LEED certification is typically reserved for your big skyscrapers or your university academic buildings.
But coffee giant Starbucks is thinking small, and it’s taking LEED certification with it.
The newest design for Starbucks stores, unveiled recently at its newest store in Denver, carries a LEED certification and a whole slew of adjectives: sleek, tiny, portable, local — even hyper-local.
But don’t plan to head down with your laptop, grab a seat and scope out the new design. It’s drive-thru and walk-up only — part of the company’s new business model.
