A day after winning a massive jury award from rival Samsung, tech giant Apple filed an injunction to block the import and sale of eight Samsung devices that the jury found violate Apple’s patents.
The jury ruled that Apple deserved over $1 billion from Samsung because Samsung’s phones violate various patents held by Apple. However, the verdict is in doubt and still needs to be entered by the presiding judge, Judge Lucy Koh. The judge still has the option of throwing out the verdict.
The devices include Samsung’s popular Galaxy mobile phones.
