Chefs like Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse and Wolfgang Puck are coming to Colorado, or at least their food is.
Indian Peaks Golf Course in Lafayette is bringing back its Celebrity Chef Menu Series this winter. Each Tuesday and Friday evening through Dec. 21, attendees can enjoy meals crafted by some well-known names in both the culinary and entertainment world.
A spot at the Peaks Bar and Grill can be purchased for $20 per person, of which $5 will benefit the nonprofit Sister Carmen Community Center. For an additional cost, guests will be treated to wine and beer pairings.
The dinners are held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 303-666-9597.
Q’S OFFERS BUBBLY PARTY
Q’s Restaurant is holding a holiday dinner to celebrate the arrival of the holiday season. The dinner, dubbed the “Bubbles Dinner,” will be held on Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
The meal will include five seasonally inspired courses paired with “bubbly bottles.”
As part of the party, Q’s will pop open a Jeroboam (double magnum) of Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noir and will offer a taste of 2005 Luis Roederer Cristal.

LAVENDER GALA RETURNS TO LAFAYETTE
The Boulder County Area Agency on Aging invites members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community who are 60 and up as well as their friends and family to the Lavender Gala, an event designed to recognize and create a sense of inclusiveness among Boulder’s older LGBT community members.
The event will be held at Nissi’s Bistro in Lafayette from 1-4 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to dress festively. There is a suggested donation at the door of $10, which includes hors d’oeuvres.
The Gala will feature music by the lesbian trio Somethin about Lulu and DJ Susie Pringle. In addition, Jeffrey Kash will reprise his role as Ms. Eda Bagel.
BITTER BAR CELEBRATES PROHIBITION REPEAL
On Dec. 5, The Bitter Bar will hold a 1920s-centered party to mark the 79th year of freedom from laws banning alcohol consumption.
The event, hosted by Whiskey Master Robert Sickler, will begin at 9:30 p.m. and go on until the bar closes. Guests are invited to don their flapper attire and newsboy caps and fedoras as they sip craft cocktails of the ’20s.
