It’s not like we’re very surprised, but President Obama, who has already gone down in history as the first candidate to have waged a truly effective social media-based presidential campaign, is at it again: Barack has dropped a 27-track “Campaign Playlist” via Spotify and his Facebook page.
The mix includes a wide array of cuts that basically represent the president’s entire constituency — yes, even the country fans. And yes, even the REO Speedwagon fans. Included: “Different People” (No Doubt), “I Got You” (Wilco), “The Weight” (Aretha Franklin), “Stand Up” (Sugarland), and, well, obviously, “Let’s Stay Together” (Al Green).
