Ever dreamed of being a park ranger? Well, you can get a taste of that this summer by becoming a U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Wilderness Volunteer in a program run by the Indian Peaks Wilderness Alliance. Wearing a green USFS shirt and hat, you’ll hike trails in the Indian Peaks and James Peak wilderness areas, educate the public, and turn in reports about visitor usage, trail conditions, etc. Mandatory training for new volunteers is Sat., June 5, 8am to 3pm at the USFS office in Boulder.
