Estes Park School District R-3 Ballot Issue 3A
Tax increase for education
Vote Yes
Ballot
Issue 3A asks voters to increase taxes — assuming Amendment 66, the
state ballot issue to increase state tax revenues, doesn’t pass — in
the school district to collect $750,000 annually to go to the general
fund for the district and be expended on educational purposes.
In
2011, Colorado spent $2,722 less per student than the national
average, according to the Colorado School Finance Project, and has
increased at a slower rate than the national average over the last 20
years.
In the interest of keeping up, we endorse a yes vote on this ballot issue.
