The Senate’s bipartisan Gang of Eight has agreed on an immigration proposal that would include a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.
The proposed legislation, to be announced Jan. 28 by the group of veteran senators, also includes a new framework for the legal immigration system.
The Gang of Eight includes Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, a Democrat, as well as well-known Republicans Lindsey Graham and John McCain.
