A bomb training exercise will be held at Fairview and Boulder high schools on Wednesday, June 8, to help provide school district officials with recommendations and information on how to approach bomb-related situations.
The Boulder police and fire departments, Pridemark Paramedic Services, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Boulder Valley School District administrators will be participating in the exercise, according to a City of Boulder news release.
The exercise will take place at 12:30 p.m. and will be geared toward helping equip school officials in dealing with bomb-related incidents within schools, as well as to review and strengthen responders’ tactics and protocols.
The training is open to members of the media, but coordinators ask that onlookers and media not videotape or photograph either the drill or the student volunteers who will be present during the drill.
