On Feb. 27, Boulder County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters from North Metro Fire Rescue responded to a report that a 51-year-old man was not breathing and unresponsive at a business on the 1700 block of Highway 287.
Upon arrival emergency workers found the man dead inside the business’s garage.
According to the sheriff’s office, a family member who had gone to check on the man earlier in the day found the business locked and could hear the sound of a vehicle running inside the business.
Firefighters forced their way into the building and found two vehicles running in the garage area of the business. The deceased man was found in one of the vehicles.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and Boulder County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death. The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the decedent once they have confirmed that all family members have been notified of the death.
