Lafayette’s Morning Glory Cafe has inventive breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings that suit people of all dietary persuasions. If you haven’t been in a while, we recommend stopping by for a meal, served either on its open-air patio or in its socially distanced, spacious dining room. We opted for the Buddha bowl on a recent visit — a medley of black beans, black rice, steamed vegetables, shake-and-bake tofu, Cheddar cheese and cashew gravy. Something not bad for you should not taste this good. The tofu is crispy on the outside, silky on the inside. The Cheddar and steamed vegetables make an ideal match, and the cashew gravy is flavor-packed and as satisfying as its meat-based cousin.
