Mojo Taqueria is a good place. Inventive cocktails, unique rotating beers, a vibrant atmosphere and, most importantly, fantastic tacos. Their taco menu includes things you’re not likely to find elsewhere, including Korean beef, fried avocado, fire-roasted poblano and guajillo-braised short rib. We thought one star, among many, was the cochinita pibil taco. It’s achiote-marinated pork smoked in banana leaves, topped with pickled red onions and habanero salsa. It’s spicy, tart, tangy, bright and, ultimately, irresistible. $3.95 each.
Superjames Bar

This is the best granola bar you’ll ever have. Hands down, no questions asked. This little bar packs so much power — literally, it’s over 500 calories. But the real magic is how soft it is. At once, you’re able to hold it in your hand and go on and on about the latest athletic feat you’ve accomplished, and yet when you take a bite, it feels like you just scooped some trail mix into your mouth. It’s made of a blend of oats, nuts, seeds, coconut oil and cranberries, and if you get the chocolate version — which you should — the morsels add a sweet bite. Oh, and this bar is gluten-free. The Superjames bar comes from the folks at the Jamestown Merc, and it’s marketed to cyclists, but you could just be hungry and enjoy it. $4.

Sometimes fast-casual is just right. Zoës Kitchen is our go-to for quick Mediterannean fare that always comes in fresh. The Mediterranean Salad Trio Bowl consists of pesto farro, zesty quinoa and cauliflower rice with house-made Greek tzatziki, Italian salsa verde, feta, cucumbers and fresh dill. It makes for a clean, satisfying lunch in which the various flavors complement one another. $9.89.
Chicken Fajita Burrito

What Fuzzy’s sells, more than anything, is atmosphere. And we’re buying it. You walk into Longmont’s Fuzzy’s and the place is alive with conversation and bustling tables. The ridiculously affordable beers and cocktails surely contribute to that. But with sloppy-style Mexican fare on the menu to boot, it makes for a good, no-frills time for patrons. Their chicken fajita burrito is straight-forward, made of charred chicken, guacamole, shredded cheese, tomatoes, onions, garlic sauce and smothered in green chili $9.28.
